I AM CLOSED FOR REVIEWS. I am choosing to focus my attention more on my writing than reviewing. Thank you for understanding.
I accept: ARCs and published copies (hardback and paperback). I would accept audiobooks (YA and MG). Ebooks in EPUB are preferred. I’d love a business card or flyer with an email address notifying who to send a completed review by, if possible.
What I read: YA and children’s books. I love picture books, middle readers, graphic novels, etc. Nonfiction and fiction are welcome. Titles from a series are fine as well. I will read regular fiction (those not YA) as well. You can browse my Goodreads page for an idea of how diverse my taste is, what I want to read, etc.
I do not read: spiritual books, books on religion, self-help titles, medical books, political books, war or military fiction
Topics of interest: Disney, the 1920′s, women’s history, the Romanovs, The Titantic, Roanoke, screenwriting, comedy, improv comedy, road trips, animals, school issues, LGBT
How I review: I don’t grade with a star system, as I feel it can’t accurately reflect my feelings on a work. I point out aspects of the work I liked, and any I didn’t. I try to be 100% honest in my reviews. I try to write reviews that are more than a paragraph and really highlight how I feel about the book.
When I review: I try to provide a decent amount of time for review. Feel free to suggest a date you’d like the review posted by – if none is provided, I try to post the review to time with the book’s release.
Where I post reviews: I eventually add a review to my account at Goodreads.com, mention it on my Twitter, and add it to Amazon. If you want a review posted to Amazon quickly, feel free to mention so.
